8th Annual Monty’s Home Pet Expo

Join us as we host the 8th Annual Monty’s Home Pet Expo! Since 2007, Monty’s Home is led by President and co-founder, Barbara Raab, a Certified professional Dog trainer by the Association of pet Dog Trainers and experienced dog trainer. Monty’s Home is inspired by the love and spirit of Monty, a therapy dog that succumbed to cancer in October of 2006. Monty’s Home currently provides services to Southeastern North Carolina through programs like it’s Pawsitive Partners Prison Program, the first companion dog prison training program in Southeaster North Carolina and the largest in the state.

The annual Monty’s Home Pet Expo is the largest indoor pet event in the greater Wilmington area and offers more than 70 pet related vendors to showcase a large variety of pet items and services.

The Pet Expo is a family event and offers free admission for children and special features geared towards children. The Kid’s Korner provides fun-filled games, prizes and a great way to learning about responsible pet care in an fun and interactive learning environment. Another great feature of the Monty’s Home Pet Expo event is the Silent Auction which offers hundreds of items to bid on to help support Monty’s Home, a 501 c(3) non-profit organization. Proceeds from the expo support Monty’s Home’s canine rescue efforts and prison training program, Pawsitive Partners Prison Program in addition to education and grief support programs in the Wilmington, NC area. Rescue Groups in the Wilmington area are offered free space to promote and raise funds for their organizations.
